I am pleased to present my latest impasto oil painting! This one came together so well I could pinch myself but I don’t like pain.
This is definitely my most complex painting so far. Every square inch is an explosion of color and texture and my joy comes right through every brushstroke!

Clyde is not interested in writing novels or humorous books. Poetry is his thing but every once in a while I tease him about writing a book.
Since he is such a curmudgeon I said he should write a book called The Stupidity of Everything. He said that would take 5000 pages for the first sentence.
Now that’s a curmudgeon deluxe!

I have been doing my Happy Dance today! I played for Thursday night’s service, Friday night’s service and today’s service but I don’t play next Sunday! Great to have a break! As I have said before, I love to play the piano but I don’t like to perform.
Stage fright is awful. I thought I was done with the stage when I retired from teaching but somehow I got back on. Oh well. I hardly shook at all today so I am getting better at it and I get great compliments from the parishioners!

Clyde is still working diligently to improve his knee with exercises and leg lifts. He also gets a shot every so often right into the knee which is very expensive. I asked him if it hurts.
He said the small ones that are administered more often than the big one don’t hurt but the doctor said Insurance will not cover those. It will cover the one with a big needle. So, in order to keep the Insurance Company happy Clyde has to be harpooned every six months.
Yuck.

One great thing about Social Media is that a lot of what I do to keep up with it can be done while I talk on the phone. Just finished a good conversation with my brother while I got a lot of computer chores done.
Always like to talk with him about computer stuff. He has a doctorate in Computer Science so he is not next door to clueless about this helpful but aggravating device.
Cheers on a Friday! Good Friday is you celebrate it!

Fifteen inches of snow! Wow! Radford City is great about snow removal. We were able to get out by early afternoon. Not sure how many times the plow came through but I know it was more than twice! Where I come from if you want the snow off the street you had better pick up a shovel and get to it!

A while back I mentioned I actually put the cheese in the drawer with scissors, tape, rubber bands, etc. It was there for quite a while before I found it and decided that was one huge senior moment.
Well, the other day I couldn’t find the lettuce that I was sure I bought with my weekly grocery trip. I told Clyde to look out. He may find lettuce in one of the drawers.
He said to check the computer room.
Why the computer room?
Because that is where you are parked most of the time. Put lettuce in the Google search and it will probably show up.
How can the lettuce get into a computer?
Why not? Computers are sucking up our lives. Maybe it can suck up some lettuce.
Groan.

I am real pleased to sell another New River painting to a great VA patron! The same patron that commissioned me to paint an enlargement of Wading bought New River Spring. That will make four paintings for him!
Most people that buy my paintings buy more than one. Great to have repeat patrons! As always, large and small wall art prints and prints on just about anything available on my website. Be sure to click the link under the painting to see all the possibilities!

I am real pleased to sell another print of Fall on the New River to a great VA patron! This is my most popular New River painting. A great NC patron owns the original.
Working hard on my latest Pawleys Island oil painting. So glad to be back to oils. The only problem is I am low on paint and a number of the tubes I use are now $50. Yikes! Got to sell or I can’t paint.

As I have said before, Clyde wakes me up from his office at work. Fun alarm clock! Lots of times when I answer I say, “Who dat?” The last time he said an old goat.
Hey, goats eat things other than food, right?
Yeah.
Well, maybe I can get the old goat to eat some of this mess in the computer room?
I doubt it could take care of all that stuff. I still think our only hope is to lob a few grenades.
In other words, the mess stays where it is.
Yep.

Well, we aren’t snowed in today. We did get to the store yesterday but it was a creepy crawly ride. Roads look good today and that is great since I need to get out and check on some stretched canvases. A patron wants a commission but she would rather not have a frame. She doesn’t want a large painting so I am going to see what sizes are available here. I don’t want to have to wait for an order. Time to get going.

We were snowed in yesterday but the main roads looked good enough in the afternoon for us to get to the store. While I was making out the list I checked on the nut supply. Clyde eats a lot of peanuts. We had plenty. I said to Clyde we have lots of nuts from the store and nuts all over the house.
Tell me something I don’t know.
